There are so many different kinds of written music that could be more accessible with a few small changes. Mensural notation is easier read in modern notation, tablature makes more sense written out, anyone can make sense of figured bass once it’s realized on paper, and no one is pigeon-holed ever again with written transpositions available. We take great care to stay true to the reference score in terms of formatting, markings, and notes on the page. It’s almost like looking at an identical copy, except with small changes that make a big difference!
